The Buckler was part of any swordsman equipment from the 12 Century to the 18th Century.
It was used in conjuction with the sword and offered a fast moving form of protection from the opponents blows.
Our re-enforced buckler is made from 2mm thick steel with decorative re-enforcements and has been specifically designed to fulfill the hard requirements of re-enactment combat.
It comes with a protective layer of preserving oil easily removed.
