Description

Perhaps one of the most iconic archaeological finds ever.
The original Sutton Hoo helmet was discovered during an Archaeological dig in Suffolk in 1939.
The helmet is thought to have belonged to Raedwald, King of the Saxons, and part of the Wuffingas royal dynasty.

The replica helmet is hand made from 18 gauge steel, brass, and leather and is an excellent interpretation of the original.
The cheekpieces are hinged and the main part of the helmet is leather lined, making the helmet wearable.
The helmet is decorated with warrior scenes, gods, and intertwined snake-like interlacing.
It is possibly the most impressive display helmet we sell.
This listing is for the helmet only.
We do sell helmet stands as a separate item.
