Beyond the Red Wax: Reviving a Royal Legend 🏴
Think all medieval seals were red? Think again.
We are meticulously recreating the seal of Robert the Bruce (Robert I), who reigned as King of Scots from 1306 to 1329.
This isn’t a mass-produced souvenir; it is a museum-grade replica that captures the exact look of the aged 14th century original.
Why this piece is special:
Handcrafted Excellence: From the initial mold to the final aged finish, every single step is done by hand.
Period Accuracy: We’ve matched the authentic colors and “aged” patina seen on surviving specimens in national museums.
Living History: A rare chance to own a tactile piece of the Bruce’s legacy.
This has been an incredible project to bring to life, and we can’t wait for you to hold a piece of Scottish history in your hands.
Our Robert the Bruce seal is around 93mm in diameter and is a copy taken in the 1970’s
from the original seal, which is held in the National Archives collection in London.
The rear of the seal is finished with a velvet material.
The seal depicts a helmet wearing Bruce with shield and sword, mounted on his horse.
