In the late 1930s, an excavation at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk found an exceptionally rare anglo Saxon boat burial.
All sorts of wonderful treasures were found and now reside in the British museum
Some of the grave goods were the remains of a sword. Our Sutton Hoo sword is inspired by these.
The Burial is widely thought to belong to King Raedwald.

The sword is blade is made from high carbon steel and is blunted making it perfect for display.
The sword pommel is made from wood and antiqued brass with enameled inlay.
The handle is wood with a wrap of leather as is the scabbard.
