The Druid.
One of the Walberswick Collection of chess pieces is exclusively available from History Bonkers.
The Druid is seen holding a staff and sickle ready to cut the sacred mistletoe from the oak tree.
He is wearing a robe and has an awen symbol hanging from his belt.
Whilst researching this figure we realised we actually know nothing about the Iron Age Druids and consequently they are truly mysterious.
THe original was created out of clay and then a mold made.
From the mold resin copies are made and finished all by hand.
Everyone is unique!
The figure is about 3.8″ tall or around 97mm
He weighs around 136gms
