Description
Sometime in the recent past We were leafing through a book on Native American art.
There was a picture of spindle whorl made by the Salish culture from the Vanquver area of the America. There was such a similarity between it and the scandanavian Jörmungandr also known as the Midgard Serpent or World Serpent.
After a month or so of thinking and sketching, we came up with our own
“Wyvern mewn cylch” or dragon in a circle.
The Wyvern is positioned to encircle the Earth, and is chasing or gripping its own tail.
The polished cold cast finish we have used on this piece really makes it stand out.
There is a wall hanger on the reverse so it can be displayed easily on any flatish wall.
Note from workshop Hugh, “Looks great hanging above the loo”.
