Treasures Of The Oak Green Man Trinket Box.

9.5cm in diameter the Treasures Of The Oak Trinket box is based on the centuries old Green Man figure.
Its origins are lost and may hark back to pre Christian pagan times. It’s worth reading about them and looking at references to “Jack in the Green” the father and custodian of the woods.
The face on the lid of the green man is surounded by leaves and acorns.
The lids perimeter has a running leaf pattern which encloses a circle of celtic interlacing.
It’s all made from high quality moulded resin with a metallic and green/red over painting.
The lids inside face have been finished with black felt and the inside of the main box has a large moulded interlacing Oak pattern.
The bottom of the box on the outside has a repeating interlacing with Thors hammers and small green man heads.
