Description
The design of our iron age coin plaque is inspired by the coins found in the East Anglia region of England.
They were made by the Iceni tribe before the Roman conquest.
All of the Iron Age coins have a fantastic Art style that is unique to the Celtic Tribes.
Knobbly Knees on Wolves and horses were quite common along with other symbols.
Gold, Silver, and Iron staters (coins) are still regularly found throughout the UK by metal detectorists and archaeologist.
The most famous member of the Iceni tribe was Queen Boudica, who led a revolt against the Roman invaders.
Our wall plaque is hand made from a colored polyresin and then hand finished.
It’s around 12cm in diameter. On the rear is a wall hanger.
It weighs around 270 gms.
